Following on from 2025's third instalment in Simple Minds' live album series, and the joint memoir celebrating the lifelong friendship between the band's singer Jim Kerr and guitarist Charlie Burchill, Our Secrets Are The Same, on 29 January 2027 Simple Minds return with their nineteenth studio album, Sacrosanct.

Their first album of new material since 2022's Direction Of The Heart, its eight outstanding songs find lifelong collaborators Kerr and Burchill on supremely confident form, delivering one of their most vital albums in decades and recapturing the magic and majesty of the band's early years.

In 2024 Simple Minds played to their biggest audiences since 1985 on their hugely successful Global Tour. The album's release will coincide with Simple Minds embarking on their biggest tour date, beginning in early February in Australia and New Zealand before heading to Europe and the UK.
